But we know that organisations are working with more data than ever before. Making decisions based on complex analysis of that data requires experience and creativity. Here’s where Data Science comes in.
Back in the early 2000s, company founders Richard Pugh and Matt Aldridge saw the potential of proactive analytics to help businesses make decisions. So, in 2002, they decided they would start a company to help other organisations make decisions based on their data – and Mango Solutions was born. Since then, we have been offering tailored services that dovetail into existing infrastructure, technologies, and cultures to help companies across a range of industries make important decisions.
Richard and Matt have put together a strong Data Science team of ~75 people, made up of statistical, mathematical, and IT consultants who bring a wealth of experience to Mango and provide solutions for our customers.
Do you sell fruit?
We often get asked where our name came from, and why there seems to be cats all over our web presence.
When brainstorming potential names for their new company, Richard and Matt toyed with various options to describe the company’s services and raison d’etre. All were boring and unimaginative, so when Matt jokingly suggested that they might as well name it after his cat, it seemed as good a suggestion as any other. So we are Mango.
